Carbon Neutral

The City of Fremantle has become the second carbon neutral local government in Australia.

The Council recently installed one of the largest solar energy units in the southern hemisphere and may follow up by using geothermal heating for the local pool.

Mayor Peter Tagliaferri says all council buildings are now powered with green energy.

The council is holding a Carbon Neutral Expo on Thursday at Victoria Hall.
