Snottygobbles Debut at Childrens Theatre

By Erin Gray

May 25, 2006

Snottygobbles, goblins and circus creatures are not your typical theatre line-up, but Children’s Theatre certainly knows how to be unconventional.

While the circus is practicing dive rolls and spectacular tricks, the fairies of the Banksia forest desperately try to find out why all the candles are dimming.

Stephanie Parent the youngest said, “My tribe of snottygobbles were only trying to get people to like them and stay out of the way, except they seem to end up in the midst of the action.”

Caballus, king of the Goblins has developed an evil plan to separate Oberon and Titania the King and Queen of the fairies.

No we have not slipped into a Shakespearian play, it’s just another twist in the tale of ‘The Secret of the Snottygobbles; a Fairy Story.’

The play features talented second and third year Murdoch students performing for local primary school children, twice daily.

This enchanting ensemble will grace the Nexus Theatre running from June 5 to 10.

Tickets are available for adult viewing on June 10 at two or four thirty.
